He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lee Folmer and Mayme Frances Folmer Giles (Richardson); his stepfather Raymond Giles; his daughter Melissa Folmer; and his brother-in-law Ike Gabbard.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Bobbie Jean" Folmer; his stepsiblings, Lee Giles (Diane) and Barbara Giles Gabbard; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Derickson (Richard) and David Knox. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
