He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Smith and Marlene Frances Hotaling Smith; and his brother Rev. Michael Smith. He is survived by: his sister Patricia "Putt" Smith; his sister-in-law Sharon Smith; his nephew Tom Smith (Carrie); his nieces, Rebekah Shiplett (Adam), Hannah Smith and Lydia Smith; and his great-nephews, Clark Smith and Bishop Smith.
