He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dotson and Eugenia Stump Gordon; and his siblings, Harold Gordon, Brenda Howard, Nancy Lanham and Donna Glass.
He is survived by: his wife Stacy Helton Gordon; his children, Travis Gordon (Laura) of Fairfield and Amy Johnson (Lonnie) of Shelbyville; his stepdaughter Heather Herndon (Adam) of Bloomfield; his siblings, Jim Gordon of Cox's Creek, Roy Gordon (Koren) of Cox's Creek, Tom Gordon (Elaine) of Cox's Creek, Lisa Poole (Ron) of Taylorsville and Robert "Potty" Gordon (Paula) of Taylorsville; his grandson Lucas Gordon; and his stepgrandchildren, Ethan, Logan and Peyton Herndon.
