She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Thompson and Irene Thompson; and her siblings, Jeffery Lynn Thompson, Geneva Rhymer, Virginia Lou Hall and Laotan Shepherd.
She is survived by: her husband Homer Ely; her son Shawn; her daughter-in-law Tasha Ely; her grandsons, Brody and Kasen Ely; and her sisters, Flossie Baker and Ivory Middleton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
