He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ruth Fronk and Robert Dermody. He is survived by: his wife Olivia "Libby" Dermody; his daughters, Linda Schilling (Scott) and Amy Eyers (Chris); his sisters, Rita Ray and Renee Cruea; and his grandchildren, Katie, Emily, David, Amanda, Jacob and Alex. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
