He was predeceased by: his wife Priscilla Netherton; his parents, Fowler Netherton and Versie Netherton of Monroe County, KY; his siblings, Charlene Lee, James, Dillard, Basil, Carl, Cart and Wilburn; and his great grandchild Emilynn Martin.
He is survived by: his sons, Russell "Scott" Netherton (Benita), David Netherton and Steve Netherton; his grandchildren, Destiney Cook (Sean), Mariah Martin (Trenton), Jadedyn Bingham (Matthew), Syrieana Netherton, Devin Netherton, Derrick Netherton, Ryan Netherton and Andrew Netherton; his great grandchildren, Tymprynce Neal, Raelynn Netherton, Bentley Martin and Briella Bingham; and his sisters, Dulane Moore, Kathlene "Kat" Bateman and Maxine Woosley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
