He was predeceased by: his parents, William David and Virginia Anna McClellan (Cundiff); and his brother Ethyl David McClellan. He is survived by: his wife Barbara H. McClellan; his children, Jason Hayes (Jennifer), Heather McClellan and Kali Voss (Will); his grandchildren, Amaranta Hayes and Arden Hayes; his siblings, Carol Saunders, Joann Thomas (Jim), Janice, Brent (Bob), Karon McClellan and Jerry McClellan; his close friend Bob McKinley; and his siblings-in-law, Virgil and Mary Hayes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jim's name to WHAS Crusade for Children.
