With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C. Mills of Crestwood, Kentucky, born in Casper, Wyoming, who passed away on May 17, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Mills and Lois Mills; his brother-in-law Tom Haywood; his nephew Robbie Smith; and his niece Jamie Mills.

He is survived by : his wife Donna Kay Mills; his children, Jayla Dilbeck (Shawn), Lissa Mills, Jason Mills (Jaclyn) and Logan Mills (Shelli); his grandchildren, Tucker, Taylor, Tessa Dilbeck, Ethan Woods, Lincoln, Landon and Tatum Mills; and his siblings, Jimmie Mills (Patty), Marsha Haywood, Wanda Haywood (Terry) and Jackie Thomason (Jack).

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Cook Funeral Chapel (221 N 1st St, Grayville, IL 62844). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bluegrass Center for Autism, where John had planned to utilize his maintenance skills during retirement. I'm so grateful that our GHS Class of '73 celebrated our fifty year anniversary last year and that John was on the team. Still full of life, energy, ideas, jokes, and smiles.
