He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Andrew and Martha Bell Madden McCarson; his brother Jimmy McCarson; and his sister-in-law Pat McCarson. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Sherry Fields (Randy), Kim Stone (Matt) and Michael McCarson (Maria); and his grandchildren, Calvin Fields (Emily), Carson Fields (Claire), Emma King (Andrew), Isaac Fields (Morgan), Kelsey Miller, Sylvie Miller, Danielle Woeste (Adam) and Lucas McCarson. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pewee Valley Presbyterian Church (119 Central Ave, Pewee Valley, KY 40056). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
