She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Plunkett and Minnie Fornash Plunkett; her granddaughter Ahsoka Moreland; her son-in-law Gary Moreland; and her siblings, Christine Northcutt and Ervin Plunkett.

She is survived by: her husband Donald R. Covey; her children, Mary Beth Geraci of Walton, Emili Marie Moreland (late Gary) of Latonia and Timothy Wayne Covey of Georgetown; her siblings, David Plunkett (Donna) of Crittenden and Louise Mason of Crittenden; her sister-in-law Ruth Plunkett of Corinth; her grandchildren, Nickolas Andes and Cherokee Kaytlynn-Rae Covey; and her great grandchild Allison Ard. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She also was active with the American Cancer Society through the functions of Relay for Life.
