She was predeceased by : her mother Verna Veazey Harris; her husband James E. Thomas; her brother Paul Harris; her daughter Carolyn Jones; her grandsons, Michael Long and Marc Jones; and her son-in-law Homer Pharris, Jr..

She is survived by : her daughters, Patricia Long (Jerry) of Crofton, KY and Pamela Harris of Crofton, KY; and her grandchildren, Brian Long (Angie) of Crofton, KY, Eric Pharris (Connie) of Crofton, KY and Julie Pharris of Crofton, KY. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
