It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Wallace Barnett of Crofton, Kentucky, who passed away on January 17, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Carlos Ampliss Barnett and Ruby Terry Barnett; and his siblings, James Barnett, Frank Barnett, Howard Putman, Carlos "Debo" Barnett, Louise Keys, Dixie Barnett and Faye Barnett.

He is survived by : his wife Jean Barnett; his children, John Barnett, David Barnett (Carol), Kathy Laughlin and Diane McGuire (Jesse) of Crofton; his siblings, Tom Barnett, Richard Barnett (Mary) of Crofton, Kathleen East of Crofton, Anne Marie Barnett and Connie Lanier Barnett of Hopkinsville; and his grandchildren, Craig Grosskopf (Becky), Lisa Sisk (Joseph), Sonya Murphy (Scott), Misty Mayes, John Barnett (Padmini) and Mark Mayes.
