He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hicks and Martha Fry Hicks Neddermeyer; his wife Betty Hicks; and his brothers, Harold Hicks and Charles Hicks.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Lee Hicks Jr. (Carla) of Crofton, KY, Ryan Keith Hicks (Missy) of Crofton, KY, Timothy Hicks (Tracy) of Crofton, KY, Crystal Alexander (Shain) of Crofton, KY and Cynthia Bly (Billy) of Texas; and his siblings, Paul Hicks of Long Beach, MS, John Hicks (Deidra) of Morris, IL, Beverly Swiggett (James) of Srongsville, OH, Joann Hicks of Marysville, WA, Connie Becker (Charles) of Elko, NV and Ella Hansen (Mark) of Baileys Harbor, WI. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
