In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Trimble and Sabra Dudley Slone; his wife Sharon Vanover Slone; and his children, John Christopher Slone of Cowan and Ashley LeAnn Stacy (Andrew Carter) of Pikeville.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Letcher Funeral Home (102 Main St, Whitesburg, KY 41858).
