He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley and Margie Rogers Morphew; his sister Wilma Morphew Rock; and his son Kenny "Bub" Morphew. He is survived by: his wife Trudy Ditmore Morphew; his daughters, Kelly Pool and Kathy Baize (Claude); his daughter-in-law Tracey Morphew; his grandchildren, Brooke Phillips (Jesse), Kellen Gidcumb (Erica), Logan Baize and Caitlyn Pool; his great grandchildren, Tyler and Jarrett Gidcumb; and his brother Ray Morphew.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Chapel (927 W G L Smith St, Morgantown, KY 42261). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
