He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar E. McDowell, Sr. and Aloma Lee Hawkins McDowell; his wife Sheila Fay McDowell; and his sister Cindy Walters. He is survived by: his children, Lisa McCullough of Searcy, AR, Laura McDowell of Cub Run, KY, Latisha Harper (Benjamin Hirsch) and Keith Huff (Tiffany Stephan); and his siblings, Deborah Clack (Jim), Pamela Austin (Pierce), Anna Tanner, Elizabeth Morgan (Kenneth), Patricia Lutterman (Gary), Gloria Ragland (Jeff), Beverly Harper (Ricky), Jennifer Dudgeon (Michael), Leon McDowell (Ruth), William McDowell (Karen) and Christopher McDowell (Sarah). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Brooks Funeral Home (50 Main St, Munfordville, KY 42765). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
