Rick L. Taylor Obituary
We announce the death of Rick L. Taylor of Cub Run, Kentucky, born in Edmonton, Kentucky, who passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 71. Rick will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Rick; and his brothers, Terry and Ronnie. He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his daughter Heather Woods (Josh); his grandchildren, Shelby Dailey (Corey), Carly McCord (Tyler), Jackson Woods, Zoe Woods, Tyler Woods, Blake Woods (Hannah), Ayden Woods and Kinaleigh Woods; his great grandchildren, Enola, Everleigh, Colter, Ellie and Easton Clay; his brothers, Larry Taylor (Bonnie) and Randall Wood (Patty); and his pet Daisy Duke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Brookland Cemetery (4897 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
