He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnny Turner and Ethel Turner (Eldridge); his siblings, Linda Sue Turner and David Turner; and his former life partner Lydia Sue Cross Turner.
He is survived by : his wife Betty Turner of Cumberland; his children, Johnny Lee Turner of Cumberland, Harrison Saylor of Cumberland, Silas Saylor, Jr. of Pennsylvania and Samantha Saylor of Big Stone, VA; his siblings, Rose Marie Lewis, Judy Ann Sizemore, Cindy Lou Turner, Kenneth and Richard Turner; his grandsons, Colton and Levi Saylor; and also, Harrison, Silas and Samantha.
