We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2024, at the age of 80, Monette Coots of Cumberland, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Calloway Shepherd and Maggie Cornett Shepherd; her husband Johnny Coots; and her siblings, Claudine Browning, Rena Faye Fouts, JC Crace, Roberta Halcomb, Jack Shepherd, Bill Shepherd and Estil Shepherd.

She is survived by : her close friend Cleo Cress; her daughter Margaret Coots; her granddaughters, Charity Brashears (Justin) and Patience Caudill (Kendal); and her great grandchildren, Jace Brashears of Cumberland, Jacob Brashears of Cumberland and Axel Caudill of Cumberland.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the TRI City Funeral Home (506 Holly St, Benham, KY 40807). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
