He was predeceased by: his former wife Rosemary Veatch; his son-in-law Jeff Caudle; and his parents, Robert Veatch and Doris Veatch. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Veatch; his children, Shayne Veatch (Kelly) of Paducah, Shannon Williams (Sean) and Stacy Canter (Jeff) of Paducah; his stepchildren, Lynn Deweese (Kim) of Nevada, Angel Hodges (Craig) of Nashville and Regina Garner (Bryan) of Nashville; his grandchildren, Baily Caudle (Jordan Cary), Andrew Caudle, Caroline Veatch, Emily Veatch, Jace Veatch, Alyssa Deweese, Rachel Deweese, Nolan Deweese, Paul Godges, Graci Hodges, Mitchell Hodges, Mattie Hodges, Millie Garner, Harrison Garner and Maddie Williams; his great grandchild Jettson Michael Cary; his siblings, Don Veatch, Greg Veatch (Martha) and Suzanne Underhill; his mother-in-law Mildred Buchanan; his siblings-in-law, Allen Buchanan and Sarah Just; and his great-nephew Colton Buchanan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell (41 US-51, Bardwell, KY 42023). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (6965 Old US Hwy 45 S, Paducah, KY 42003).
Entombment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, Kentucky, on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
