He was predeceased by: his parents, Green Lawson Jr. and Readie Ward Lawson; his daughter Ellen Geraldene Lawson; and his siblings, Mickey Lawson, Ricky Lawson, Bonnie Dotson and Glenda Akers.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Kidd Lawson; his daughters, Ella Kristina Watkins (David) and Shawnda Faye Brown (Douglas); his grandchildren, Taylor, Paige, Kyle, Skyler and London; and his great grandchild Jaxon.
