He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Gary and Bertha Claire Brooks; his son Joey Brooks; and his siblings, Linda Grauley, Bryd Greco and Terry Fanning.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Angela "Angie" Williams; his son Allen Brooks Jr.; his stepson Bobby Haney; and his sisters, Sharon Garbe and Lona Benoit.
