He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Mae Stratton Cheak; his parents, Samuel Everett Cheak and Basel May Siers Cheak; his grandson Travis Cheak; and his siblings, Johnie G. Cheak, Carl H. Cheak and Mae Catherine Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Cheak (Suzan) of Lawrenceburg and Brenda Gayle Holland of Lawrenceburg; and his grandchildren, James Holland, Jr., Contessia Cox (Chad) and Natasha Cheak (Davin Jones). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
