It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Sue Powell of Danville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph David and Elizabeth Mae Faulkner Pleasants; her husband Morris George Powell; and her brother Gary Pleasants. She is survived by: her son Ashley Powell (Deana) of Stanford; her grandchildren, Ryan Powell (Sylvia) of Waynesburg, Ayla Sallee (Gabe) of Waynesburg, Draven Rudnick of Leitchfield and Trevor Murray of Burkesville; her sisters, Donna Lane of Moreland and Mary Jo Wood (Bill) of Moreland; her brother-in-law C. J. Lane of Hustonville; her niece Shannon Little (Chad) of Nicholasville; her nephews, David Pleasants (Penny) of Junction City, Steven Wood (Tracy) of Moreland and Matt Wood (Brittany) of Moreland; and her friend Norma Campbell (Paul). She is also survived by 5 great nieces and 5 great nephews.
