He was predeceased by: his parents, Carey T. Mayfield and Elizabeth Marshall Mayfield; and his siblings, Cary Mayfield, Charles Edward Mayfield, Veronica E. Mayfield and Judy L. Gray.
He is survived by: his sisters, Yvonne Graves and Patricia Ewing (Henry). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
