She was predeceased by : her parents, John L. Spears and Eunice Daniel Spears; her husband Calvin L. Whitt; and her son Robert E. "Bob" Whitt. She is survived by : her son Marcus C. "Marc" Whitt (Jennifer McGuire Whitt) of Richmond, KY; her brother John L. Spears (Marita Spears) of Navarre, FL.; her grandchildren, Emily Whitt Fields (Mark Wayne Fields) of Lexington, KY, Elizabeth Whitt Muncie (Christian Muncie) of Lexington, KY and Jacob Robert Whitt (Ashton Jernigan) of Richmond, KY; and her great grandchildren, Annaleigh Jaymes Fields, Aubrey Clay Fields, Hayden Grant Fields and Sarah Faye Muncie.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Lexington Avenue Baptist Church (339 W Lexington Ave, Danville, KY 40422). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested for the Robert E. Whitt Memorial Music Scholarship at Eastern Kentucky University or for the purchase of Bibles through The Gideons International.
