It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ernest Long of Danville, Kentucky, born in Washington, Kentucky, who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Long and Addie Royalty Long; his siblings, Elwood Long, Thurman Long, Vernice Jewell Long, Kathleen Newby and Virginia Long; and his granddaughter Amanda Faith Long.

He is survived by: his children, Marty Long (Kim) of Perryville and Sharon Kay Robinson (Chuck) of Danville; his grandchildren, Staci Holderman, Christie Robinson, Stephanie Claunch and Justin Long; and his great grandchildren, Isaac Holderman, Caleb Holderman, Nicholas Holderman, Landan Claunch, Kinsley Claunch, Hayden Claunch and Isaiah Long.

While flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may also take the form of donations to Gideons International, P.O. Box 176, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
