It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jack Edward Owens of Danville, Kentucky, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul E. Kidd and Betty Jean Blair Kidd; his wife Kathy Tackett Owens; and his son-in-law Brandon "Kool Aid" Sims. He is survived by : his children, Michael Edward Owens (Anthony Marcum) of Lexington, Kentucky, Winona Jean Sims (Dinah Herrington) of Danville and Michelle Nicole Owens (James Marcum) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Nicole Owens, Brandon Sims, Brayden Sims, Abbey Owens and Aubree Marcum; and his siblings, Bill Blair of Ohio, Lisa Robinson (Ronnie) of Moreland and Amy Singleton of Michigan. He is also survived by several other extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Friend Funeral Homes (312 W Main St, Stanford, KY 40484). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
