He was predeceased by : his parent Willie D.; his grandmother Caudill Greer; his granddaughter Miranda Greer; and his siblings, Larry, Loy and Doug Greer.

He is survived by : his wife Jessie Amburgey Greer; his son Derek Greer (JC Pendleton) of Danville; his granddaughter Victoria Kenley (Kody) of Forkland; his great grandchildren, Weller and Wynonna Kenley of Forkland; and his granddaughter Laura Elwyn of Danville.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home (331 S 4th St, Danville, KY 40422). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to his alma mater, Annville Institute at 190 Campus Dr., Bond, KY 40402.
