With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joyce Alvey of Danville, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joyce left this world on October 12, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claud Howard and Alene Birch Howard; and her siblings, J. D. Howard, R. L. Howard, Billy Howard, Harry Howard, Kenneth Howard, Betty Wilson, George Howard and Freddie Howard (Lowell G. Alvey, Sr.).
She is survived by: her siblings, Roger Howard (Denise) and Pat Cleveland; her children, James Alvey (Penny) of Hudson, FL. and Lori Reed (Chris) of Danville; and her granddaughters, Natasha Dunkelberger (Nik) and Lily Reed. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Watkins Funeral Home (301 N Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754).
