Lorrie Atwood Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorrie Atwood of Danville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Lorrie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lorrie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parent Glen Wilson. She is survived by: her parent Vyvyan Rice Wilson of Boyle County; her children, Jessica Simpson of Stanford and Jared Atwood (Krista) of Versailles; her sister Rhonda Gilliam of Stanford; and her grandchildren, Chloe Simpson, Declan Atwood and Zander Atwood.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home (5590 Hwy 2141, Hustonville, KY 40437). A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
