He was predeceased by: his siblings, William, Harry, John and Dolores Smith; his grandsons, Jeremy Andrews and Jaylen Whitley; and his close friend Sonia Mitchell.
He is survived by: his sons, Darryl Whitley (Ann), Jeffrey Whitley (Robin) and Bernard Whitley (Kassi); his granddaughter Kimberly Johnson (Phillip); and his cousin Ted Fields (Kim). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
