She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Herrington III and Nancy Harmon Herrington Ewing. She is survived by: her sister Mary Jo Gibson (Jerry); her nephews, Marty Gibson (Kristen) and Brice Gibson (Alyssa); her great-nephew Sam Gibson; and her great-niece Lucy Kate Gibson of Danville.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home (5590 Hwy 2141, Hustonville, KY 40437).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the UK Markey Cancer Foundation, 115 Waller Avenue, Suite 204, Lexington, KY 40503 for the wonderful care they provided Ruth Ann.
