He was predeceased by: his father John Shepherd; his wife Juanita Webb Shepherd; his daughter Cindy Green (Marty); and his siblings, Quillen Shepherd, Olen Shepherd, Joe Shepherd, Mentha Prater, Adgie Hall, Geraldine Prater and Earlene Mundy.
He is survived by: his children, Dwayne Shepherd (Sally) of Berea, Paul Shepherd (Amanda Moore) of David, Vicky Sturgill (David) of David and Andrea Samons (Greg) of David, Kentucky; and his siblings, Edgar Shepherd of Martin, Roger Shepherd of David, Ruby Bradley of Indiana and Elma Kay Caudill of Johnson County, Kentucky. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren & 13 Great Grandchildren.
