Vivian Pauline Fox Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vivian Pauline Fox of David, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 17, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her husband David George Fox; her parents, James Madison and Verlie Reynolds Venable; and her siblings, William Venable (Opal), James Venable (Pauline), Ernest Venable (Martha), Mavis Seale (Lowell) and Ronnie Venable.
She is survived by: her children, Melanie Newton, Janet Fox, Jon Fox (Darlena) and Jennifer Shaffer (Jon); her grandchildren, Melissa Banford (Stuart), Cynthia Newton (Dee), Alison Tighe (Matt), Jarod Fox (Danielle), Katy Shaffer (Blake), Charles Shaffer, Jake Shaffer (Allee), Emily Fox, Joey Shaffer and Derek Shaffer (Gabby); her great grandchildren, River Newton, Milo, Emmett Tighe, Aiden Fox, Bayleigh, Tommy, Kayla, Gunnar Fox, Leo Saylor, Ember Shaffer and Alex Spurr; her sisters-in-law, Nancy Smith (Darrell), Joan Zimmerman (Steve) and Doris Judd (Jerry); and her friend Nancy Begley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel (108 Center St, Beattyville, KY 41311). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
