He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Dunbar and Nell Brown Dunbar; his wife Barbara Sue Dunbar; his siblings, Dorothy Fields, Ray Dunbar and Lawrence Dunbar; and his son Kerry Lane Dunbar.
He is survived by: his sons, Ernest Dunbar (Sonya) of Bremen, Brad Dunbar (Deanna) of Richland, KY and Brian Dunbar (Sonya) of Dawson Springs, KY; and his sister Louise McElroy of Hanson, KY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
