She was predeceased by : her parents, Jake Howard and Viola Baker Howard; her husband Charlie Edward Garrett; her siblings, Irene Turpin, Christine Oathout, Ruth Howard, Homer Howard of Kentucky, David Howard of Kentucky and Matthew Howard of Kentucky; and her half-siblings, Hannah, Nancy, Rebecca, Harm, John, Esom, Dewey, Monroe and Samuel.
She is survived by : her siblings, Mary Jewell Dendekker and Jessie Howard of Kentucky; and her daughter Jeannie Bertagnolli (Larry). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
