He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenny Alford and Maudie Farris Alford; his wife Janie Duncan Alford; and his daughter Beverly Ezell. He is survived by: his children, Tony Alfred (Milly Bennett), James Alfred, Randall Alfred and Penny Meredith; and his sisters, Sue Bettner and Teletha Evans. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
