He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mees (Bud) and Flora Mees (Mcphearson); and his sister Mary Boskins (Mees). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Mees (Lovelace); his sons, Michael Overman, Anothony Overman (Dana) and Jonathan Overman (Julie); his grandchildren, Jackson, Avery, Emma, Kristian, Owen and Meadow Overman; his brother Kenny Mees (Linda); his nieces, Kara Mees and Lauren Mees; his parents-in-law, Lawrence H and Patrica Lovelace (Crail); and his brother-in-law Steven Lovelace.

Viewing was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cooper Funeral Home (10759 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North Date (205 Eibeck Ln, Williamstown, KY 41097).
