He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Meyer; and his daughter Belinda Meyers. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Powell, Bobby Meyers and Jeffrey Funston; and his grandchildren, Sarah Funston, Dwayne Viers, Ernie Viers, Brett Funston, Nicky Funston, Tanner Meyers, Christopher Mills, James Hill and Demetri Jackson. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
