She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Thornsberry and Mattie Hall Thornsberry; her husband Hubert Short; her grandson Brandon Slone; and her siblings, Arthur Thornsberry, Crawford Thornsberry, Roxie Hall, Bethel Anderson, Anna King and Marcella Rice.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Short (Wanda), Gary "Blondie" Short (Shardena) and Terry Short (Lisa); and her sister Lora Webb. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren & 15 Great-Grandchildren; A Host of Beloved Nieces, Nephews.
