He is survived by: his children, Sue Ellen Penley (John) of Madison, AL and Matthew Melton of Brentwood, TN; his grandchildren, Margaret and Hammond Penley; his sister Peggy Mitchell (Bill) of Clay, KY; his caregiver Cathi Blankenship; Brittani Matheny. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
