He is survived by : his children, Heather Caldwell (Cody) of Dry Ridge and Keven Gilbert of Corinth; his siblings, Danny Gilbert and Redonna Thomas of Dry Ridge; his grandchildren, Emma, Madison, Charlotte, Haley and Jessie; and his cousin Chris Wynn.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McDaniel Funeral Home - Dry Ridge (30 S Main St, Dry Ridge, KY 41035). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
