He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Carter and Rosie Christine Carter. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Melissa Carter (Raellyn Hatter), Jodie Kinsey (Lance), David Carter, Darren Carter (Jennifer) and Mary Griffith (Garrett); his grandchildren, Sarah, Ian, Anakin, Ethan, Emily, Samantha, Darren and Oliver; and his siblings, Debbie Hancock and Dennis Carter (late Darlene). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Family Worship Center (1380 N Main St, Williamstown, KY 41097). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
