It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Cox of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, born in Bays, Kentucky, who passed away on May 15, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert T Holbrook and Belle Elizabeth Hatton Holbrook; her husband William "Joe" Cox; her granddaughter Billie Jo Mize; and her brother Don Holbrook.
She is survived by: her daughters, Canis L. Wirth (Michael) of Erlanger, KY and Susan C. Ballard (Donnie) of Dry Ridge, KY; her siblings, Ted Holbrook of Pine Ridge, KY, Ruby Collins of Richmond, KY and Sue Perior of Somerset, KY; her grandchildren, Jordan Mize of Latonia, KY, Adam Wirth of Erlanger, KY, Clint Ballard of Grants Lick, KY and Lee Ballard of Somerset, KY; and her great grandchildren, Gage Ballard, Beau Wirth and Aven Wirth.
