He was predeceased by: his parents, Estill Lee and Ethel Pansy McCarty Burden; his siblings, Louetta Sears, Juanita Hood, Mae Jennens, Leona Gwinn, Phyllis Harney and Virginia Smith; and his grandchild Tristin Lawhun.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Chalk (Keith) of Fairfield, Chris Burden (Stephanie) of Hillsboro, Brenda Coleman (Harold) of Friendship, IN, Randy Burden of Friendship, IN, Steve Combs (Jenny) of Dry Ridge, KY, Jennifer Combs (Josh) of Seven Mile and Erin Lawhun (Shane) of Dry Ridge, KY.; and his siblings, Harold Burden (Laura), Elbert Burden (Clara) and Jackie Burden (B. J.). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home (526 Pleasant St, Paris, KY 40361). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
