He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Staples and Ethel Porter Staples; his children, Kathy Boobar, Karen Bigham and Marcus Brent Staples; and his siblings, Pauline Jenkins, Vivian Staples, Mildred Gibson, Hazel Woodlee, Clara White, Ilene Baugh and Delbert Staples.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Kitchens Staples of Dunmor; and his children, Darlene Staples of Russellville, KY, Debbie Morgan of Elkton, KY, Ricky Staples of Hodgenville, KY and Dwayne Staples of Powderly, KY. He is also survived by several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
