He was predeceased by: his parents, Berlin Layne and Allene Clevenger Layne; and his brother Don Clevenger. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Ward Layne; his sons, Chad Layne (Desiree) of Columbus and Keith Layne (Jenny) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.; and his grandchildren, Shianne Barrett, Sierra Barrett, Joshua Layne, Caitlin Layne, Chevelle Layne, Lydia Layne, Colin Layne, Alex Layne, Tucker Layne, Grant Layne, Andrew Keasler and Brooke Heinrich.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bowling Funeral Home (1704 N Main St, London, KY 40741). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel (1704 N Main St, London, KY 40741). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery (6614 Old Danville Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356).
