He was predeceased by: his parents, Volla Thomas Chaney and Hazel Dale Matheney Chaney; his son Robert Eric Chaney; and his siblings, Charles Chaney, Barbara Chaney and Winnie Gossett.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leesa Russell of Poole, KY and Terrea DeLong of Henderson, KY; his grandsons, Derek Belt (Kensi) and Dylan Sullivan; and his great grandchildren, Brody Belt and Cooper Belt.
Bob was a long-time Kentucky Colonel, which is the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, recognizing individuals for noteworthy, lifelong contributions to society or the state.
