He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Requardt and Edward Requardt; his wife Loraine Requardt; his son Terry Requardt; and his siblings, Edward J. Requardt and Mildred Hettle.

He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Messmer (Bob) and Judy Requardt; his daughter-in-law Gail Requardt; his grandchildren, Jenny McCoy, Tammy Whitehair (Micah), Heather Requardt, Kyle Requardt (Brandie), Robby Messmer (Alissa) and Julie Messmer; his great grandchildren, Austin, Colt, Riley McCoy, Caden, Sami Whitehair, Kaylie Requardt, Gentry, Gracie and Kennedy Messmer; and his extended family, Matthew Stamm (JoBeth), Greg Stamm (Annie), Ben, Mya, Joey and Emmy Stamm. He is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren.
